I am Ms. Ishani Shehara from Sri Lanka. I did my Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and honoured with the Dean’s list awards as well. Recently, I have completed my Master of Philosophy degree as well from the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Moratuwa.

I am thrilled to start my PhD research with the supervision of Dr Shamsunnahar Yasmin and Prof Geoff Walker under the BITA, ARC Centre for Behavioral Insights for Technology Adoption, Queensland University of Technology.

My PhD research area is on adoption of behavioural economic concepts to explore multimodal transport demand modelling. This will enable to enhance the predictive accuracy of models and provide valuable insights for policymakers aiming to encourage sustainable and efficient transportation choices.
